What are some surprising facts about alternative fuels?

I’m looking for something about alternative fuels in general or any one specific fuel.

Its affordable and safe for the environment and the utility companies do not want the public to know. Solar and wind energy can now generate electric reducing you bills 80%. For details see site below.

Ethanol is very corrosive to a conventional car’s fuel system and engine.

The alternative fuels are a joke. Add all the alternative fuel will not equal 1% of the fossil fuels we now use.

One fact is that one of them, natural gas, is here already, but a lot of people just don’t know it. I have 2 cars that run on natural gas right now, and they’re great! 87 cents per gallon to fill them up here in Utah, and they run much cleaner than gasoline vehicles. Ford made them from the mid 1990′s to 2004, so they’ve been around a while. Check out my source below for more facts.

NG is cheap today, but the cost is rising as tax subsidies go away. The cost to retrofit a car to NG is so high and MUST be performed by EPA certified shops, that you can buy almost 100,000 miles worth of gasoline.

Bio diesel is so expensive to make that we use very little in the US and we export every drop we can.

Ethanol or E85 gasoline is cheap at the pump, but because it contains less energy, the cost per mile driven is equal to or more than regular gasoline.

A very surprising fact is that people think that current alternatives are actually feasible. Hydrogen has nowhere near the energy that petrol has per volume unless you compress it to dangerous levels. Ethanol has more energy per molecule than hydrogen but less than octane and you can’t compress it because it’s a liquid. Electricity is a stupid idea because a battery can’t hold anywhere near the amount of energy that a tank of petrol has. Also, electric cars have a long charging time so they’re no good. But the worst of all is the HHO engines which claim to electrolyze water into hydrogen and oxygen and then burn them to provide energy. Any fool who has the faintest idea of what the laws of thermodynamics are about can see that these engines will use more energy than they produce.
