  • 2007 Toyota Yaris S Road Test by Edmunds’ Inside Line

Posted by admin on July 19th, 2010 and filed under green cars | 25 Comments »

Ten years ago an inexpensive, comfortable, well-built car like the 2007 Toyota Yaris would have been a slam dunk. In fact, it was a slam dunk. It was called the Corolla and it was one of the best-selling compact sedans of its time.

But over the last decade, compact sedan buyers got greedy. They asked for more room, better features and increased horsepower. Toyota listened, building a larger Corolla with more standard features and a bigger engine.

Now with gas prices at nearly $3 a gallon, those same buyers suddenly have a conscience. They’ve joined Greenpeace, bought hemp socks and started looking for smaller, cheaper and more fuel-efficient sedans. Cars like the Yaris.

If you’re in the market for used auto sales, Austin’s DriveTime dealerships have a wide selection of vehicles to choose from. We know that it can be very difficult to get financed for a vehicle when you have poor credit, but at DriveTime we focus on getting people with bad credit into a used auto. Other dealerships may claim they can sell you a car no matter what your credit history is, but all too often this turns out to be an empty promise. That’s why you can count on DriveTime to find you a used car that you will be proud to drive!

i have this exact same car (only it’s charcoal) and i must admit at first i didn’t like it that much. I still dont like it that much, but it is a good car, it does what it’s supposed to do and it doesn’t even eat petrol (exaggeration). For the price my parents paid for it it’s not worth it but it’s a good lil car.

I own a 2010 sedan and the only thing I actually agree with them on is the cup holders being too short. they are very well placed, but certainly can’t hold a cup securely. the car scoots just fine with the small engine, and the handling is actually the best I tested. the feature I love MOST OF ALL though, is the VSC can be turned completely off!!!

lol coolerdude44 i dont understand you, you hate toyota but you keep commenting on this page lmao and whats not to like about them they are reliable more than your favorite american brands a lot of cars that do stand out like sporty cars have Mazda and blah blah are usually the 1z everyone has the a lot of problems with so really at the end of the day at least you don’t have to worry as much as having a ford and getting stuck on the road

    24. coolerdude44 Says:

      and, it only has …
and, it only has 20,000 miles. i’m sorry, but this means that toyotas (or at least toyotas designed by americans, like the highlander) aren’t built with anymore quality than anyone else either if after 20,000 miles of shuffling kids and their luggage around it has all those problems.

so please explain to me why toyota’s are appealing, because i just don’t get it.

    25. coolerdude44 Says:

why do you assume i …
why do you assume i can’t afford a toyota? and explain to me which toyota does something that none of the other cars in it’s class does. which one handles the best, is cheapest, most powerful, etc. every single one of their cars are just average, and nothing more.

in fact, i’m on vacation now in LA and i’m renting a highlander. both remotes are broken for it, there’s a severe wind leak, an air vent fell out, and the dome light doesn’t work. it also sounds like it’s on 5 cylinders.
