Lots of people still wonder why we need to concern ourselves with the troubles of alternative energy. These people tend to forget that our need for energy is still rising, while we use natural resources that are know to become depleted shortly. We know about the various disadvantages of our usage of these resources while we also know that now kinds of energy is available to us. If we would adapt to these alternative resources we will avoid loads of the problems we are facing right now. The most important one is that the usage of these alternative resources is that they don’t leave a footprint, whatsoever.

What kinds of alternative energy do exist and what are their names?

Whatever machinery, building or whatever is used in order to produce energy is the kind of energy manufacturers that need to be replaced with alternative energy. At the same time we should realize that the State employees of the European Commission is expecting that due to the usage of alternative energy and the rise of demand for energy will create, as a market, 2.8 million jobs by the year 2020. This is an additional benefit that should be added to the advantages of alternative energy.

Here is the list of the various kinds of alternative energy sources.

Wind turbines propelled by wind; wind energy

Solar power: Electromagnetic solar radiation or solar energy

Energy generated from the heat of the earth; geothermal energy

Using the water resources in order to generate energy; hydro power or hydro energy

Reusable energy fuel; bioenergy

Bio gas is probably the best option as it contains lots of advantages.

The moment I am writing this piece of content, bio gas is the most promising of all. Why? Because it has so many advantages. And these benefits can already be found at the beginning of the production process. As ingredients we can use all kinds of materials or ingredients. We can use garbage from our households, fertilizers, manure from animals, the leftovers from milk products, the waste from bio diesel plants as well as juice factories. It all can be used; the waste!. All ingredients are dumped into the bio reactor that mixes the ingredients while it is insulated. At the same time all is heated. A beautiful and impressive process we call a synthesized process. I have to mention that it is important to realize that the unit has to have an aerobic-anaerobic structure.

Bio gas plant is a system of interrelated elements. These include special engineering facilities that provide training materials, production of bio gas, its purification and storage, and also generate heat and electricity. What makes bio gas plants and bio gas plant? Last – it’s wider and three-dimensional concept, it is a common structural unit of production, and the first function as processing raw materials into bio gas and fertilizer.

This is a big advantage: We get rid of waste and at the same time we are producing organic fertilizers that can be sold and at the same time we are producing energy. Among the other advantages, like green energy, no footprints, relative low cost in order to produce and due to the kind of ingredients it needs, these plants can be put anywhere as it only needs waste. And that is where people are.

Other forms of alternative energy sources

We have already listed them. Now, let’s briefly look at each. Let’s start with wind power. Scientists believe that many countries can benefit from this resource for about 10% of the energy for the whole country. Wind turbines convert the kinetic wind energy into electricity. In our time it is actually put this setup in his house, thus ensuring his family by an independent source of energy for many years.

What do we mean by bio fuel? Bio fuel can be found in biological raw materials like corn seeds, soybean and sugar cane. It doesn’t even matter how it is supplied; in liquid form, solid or gaseous. Some think that this bio fuel cannot compete with normal fuels, but this is doubted more and more as we start to learn to maximize its capacity at an increasing speed. It is expected that bio fuels will have the same capacity soon or even surpass it.

Solar power; we all are familiar with it. After all they are already build in most of the calculators we use at home in order to do our homework. It has no negative effects for the environment and at the same time it doesn’t leave any footprint behind.

Water is a unique phenomenon, the source of life and existence is not only the man himself, but all living creatures and plants. Now we can get from water energy, without affecting its quality or quantity. Scientists have learned how to extract the energy of sea waves, tides, as well as build hydro power plants.

So we shouldn’t question the need for alternative energy. We should start to implement it as soon as possible. The advantages are too obvious. We need to change our behaviours, as we know what we are doing with our planet at the moment. We are leaving behind big footprints and the resources are depleting at tremendous speeds. Maybe we should start to focus on bio gas as this way of producing energy is really promising. But the main reason remains: we get rid of waste while we produce fertilizer and energy from it.

One of the things that deter people from installing solar energy system is the high price of the solar panels. Today however, because of the rebates offered by the government and the innovations in technology, installing solar energy system for your residence has become much more cost-effective. In addition, once your solar energy system is paid for, your electricity is free. So what you should be asking yourself is why you should want to continue to pay for solar electricity when within a few years you can be getting that electricity free?

You are probably thinking that if you don’t have solar panels you do not use solar energy, right? Wrong! The source of the electricity that you currently use comes from fossil fuels. When fossil fuels are broken down they are broken down to release the solar energy within.

A lot of individuals actually do not take time to ponder on it, but in one way or another, the supreme source of the energy that people use today is the sun. The only difference is that, when fossil fuels are burned to release the energy they store, the environment is damaged, and it also creates a dependence on countries that have larger fossil fuel reserves.

Come to think of it, why do we need to derive solar energy indirectly through the burning of fossil fuels instead of getting it directly from the source – the sun’s rays. After all, when you think of the thousands upon thousands of dollars you have invested over the years in monthly utility bills you could probably have paid for a solar energy system thrice over and have been getting free solar energy instead of continuing to buy that energy.

With the value of energy derived from fossil fuels continually rising they will soon hit heights that will force the average home owner to find a substitute source of electricity. By having solar panels installed at this time, you would be able to save yourself the burden of paying exorbitant electricity costs in the future, and you could also enjoy the government rebates offered today, but may not be available in the future.

You will also be taking immediate steps to help save the environment by lowering the need for fossil fuels one household at a time. In the near future, when everyone uses solar energy at home, there would be a cleaner and healthier environment for all people to enjoy.

So, since one way or another, you are paying for that solar energy, it would make sense to get a solar energy system installed, which in the future will provide you with free electricity rather than continue paying for it for the rest of your life. The choice is yours. If you want to earn tons of financial savings, then investing in these solar panels would be very prudent.

If you look at it closer, this is about making a choice whether to pay now or pay later. It’s only you who could decide which option will give you and your family lots of advantages today, and in the future.

Explore the future of solar power and just how it’s being utilized in lessening pollution levels and save money across Australia. Get three free estimates on a solar system or solar panels in your dwelling or organization.

These are the golden years of the solar energy sector. The technological innovation which was once much to expensive for most homeowners to afford now is definitely not because of a number of government programs providing you go about installing solar power systems on your own home in a particular way.

The problem with solar for residences has always been the upfront cost. You can expect to pay between $15,000 and $30,000 up front. That is a lot of money for just about anyone. Until government incentives came along, it was far too much and the industry suffered.

The great thing is the government made it a primary plan to develop renewable energy. Solar energy was included in this renewable energy definition, obviously. The result has been government entities will give away huge tax credits, loan guarantees and other financial assistance to delay the up front cost. It has made solar energy accessible to large numbers who other wise wouldn’t be in the position to afford it.

Do these incentives come with any catches? Of course. The idea is to promote the energy platforms, so most require the home owner to meet certain guidelines. These range from the type of systems bought to their use.

The first prerequisite is you must exclusively use the incentives with brand spanking new systems. The point, again, is to support the industry. Similar to hybrid cars, used systems don’t qualify for the incentive programs, so don’t waste your money on them.

The second requirement has to do with the use of the system. Specifically, the system must be used to create heat or electricity for the primary home. Panel systems used to heat the pool, for instance, do not qualify.

Finally, one also has to use certified installers to get the incentives. The government is trying to promote job growth through the renewable energy industry. If you try to install the panels yourself, you will miss out on the potential huge incentives that can save you so much.

Is complying with all of this well worth the effort? Definitely. The incentives which are now offered by federal governments, state governments, municipalities and perhaps local utility companies in your area will save you most or all the cost of buying a solar panel system. That definitely makes the additional effort worth it.

Find out why accredited solar panel installers and solar installation are required to defer the cost of using solar energy panels on your home.

With energy charges increasing way out of control you will find there’s far more anticipation than ever about the opportunity presented by a magnetic generator. The closely-guarded secret behind this technology pledges to eradicate a person’s electricity bill totally. It sounds hard to comprehend, but when a regular person remembers a few things they already understands about magnets, it will become apparent that magnets might make electricity without the introduction of any other source of energy.

Anyone who has ever played with magnets as a kid knows that magnets can both attract or repel one another depending on how they are held in relationship to one another. Yet few have ever asked themselves about the energy magnets use to accomplish this movement. If you take 2 items and place them on a table, they don’t move any closer to one another without someone using energy of some type to cause them to move. If somebody uses their hands to move the items closer together, then they’ve had to add energy to the situation through their own physical intervention.

Yet magnets will push one another away or draw closer without help from any outside source. They obviously use energy for this and they do not seem to expend any energy in performing it. Recognizing this, many inventors have realized that there is an unused reservoir of energy in magnetism that mankind haven’t begun to take advantage of.

The arrival of a magnetic energy generator could change the world as we know it. Several inventors and also scientists already claim to have created functioning magnetic generators that are completely ready for mass production. If these electric power generators work, people should get ready for a new world packed with opportunities. Scant energy resources will no longer be a restraining factor in any business. Magnetic energy generators would affect the way people live, how they work and the way that they get about. The expansion of such devices wouldn’t only mean that folks could drive farther in their vehicles. This is the promise of more moderate inventions and enhancements in fuel types and cars. Instead, magnetic generators would totally change the landscape of realism for each person on the planet.

The best change, and the change that might be preventing the free distribution of the blueprints for such systems around the world, may be the corporate change that would occur. Energy companies, from localized utility firms to oil exploration firms, would go out of business. Their stranglehold over contemporary society would come to an end. Every man, lady and kid would now have access to nearly limitless energy to heat and cool their homes and power their transport devices.

A zero point permanent magnet power generator fits on a desktop, so these magnetic energy generators are not devices that a typical person or family would find too clumsy or too difficult to house. The only expense a person would make would be in buying such a device. However expensive it seemed to be, it would cost a good deal less than a lifetime of utility bills and journeys to the gas station.

In the final analysis, even the price of a magnetic generator is not going to hamper any person from getting one of these devices. The materials used in making a zero point magnetic power generator are usually common, even though they may not all be household items. Therefore the price will in reality be for the information and talent of the manufacturer.

Magnetic generators will certainly change the world if their makers can find how to get them to the common public. These units will free all generations yet to come from slavery to oil, gas and coal. Furthermore, there aren’t any risks like those linked with carbon-based fuels or even nuclear fuels.

If you have been pondering of acquiring solar panels for your home, then you must have found out how expensive they are, including the expense of installation. Yes, there are government rebates given for those who choose to have solar panels, but a lot of individuals still have to take out a loan or have their properties mortgaged in order to acquire these panels. Most people can’t help but ask themselves if those decreased energy bills are worth the added expense of having those solar panels set up.

The fact is, the answer would rely on a number of things like your age, how long you expect to live in your home, your dedication to the environment, and whether or not you are talking quick or long term advantages.

The first factor that people check out is the price of the solar panels. The next consideration is the savings that they would incur in relation to their monthly energy bills. In order to determine how much this really is, you would at least have to seek the advice of a solar panel expert. Most small solar energy systems for the home costs about $6000.00 after Government rebates. Normally, you would appreciate a month-to-month energy savings of about 50% on your bill. This could change on a monthly basis, based on external factors that affect electricity generation of the solar panels, just like the quantity of sunlight it obtains. If you generally pay $100.00 for electricity per month, your solar panels will save you around $600.00 a year. This means that in reality you won’t see any real savings for around ten years. If your existing electric usage is less than a $100.00 it will take longer to see any real savings.

If you are already in your 70′s, then you may think twice about getting solar panels. But, if you are still in your thirties or forties, then you may actually decide upon the amount that you would be saving in the future, and see that the savings would be worth the extra expense at the moment.

Of course you also need to decide if you plan to stay in your home for a long period of time, enough for you to see the positive aspects from the eventual savings that solar panels offer. And, if you would be living off somewhere, determine whether you will be able to take the solar panels with you. Yes, these solar panels wouldn’t give you a headache if the time comes that you need to move them, but make sure that your new home would have lots of sunny roof area for the panels.

The environment is usually the next consideration. There is no denying that these solar panels provide many benefits for the environment. As you well know it is important for everyone to do their part to protect our environment. And, by installing solar panels at home, you get to do your share. However, whether or not you feel it is your job to protect the environment, the decision is for you to make alone.

While solar panels do provide numerous benefits to everyone only you can determine if the long range rewards you will accomplish from your solar panels will offset the short term cost of buying and installing those panels.

Experience the potential of solar power and how it’s being utilized to help reduce pollution levels and conserve revenue all through Australia.

We’ve all been there, you’re listening to your ipod on a long bus trip and it runs out of power in the middle of your favorite song. No listening to podcasts, no music or audio books, what are you going to do with all the time ahead of you. If not that then surely your cell phone has given up the ghost half way through an important conversation. The phone sounds a beep and you see the low charge warning on the screen. Looks like you’ll have to find an un-vandalized phone booth – good luck!

I guess I’m as guilty as the next person. I want immediate access to my entertainment or communications devices. This is the reason why I have this and that gadget for all sorts of things. Unfortunately all these appliances need power from time to time and I have forgotten to recharge them leaving me stranded. The way round this common problem is to use a portable solar power generator.

Given the increasing awareness of renewable resources, many portable solar generators are been developed. Basically they consist of the same things. There are numerous solar cells that create electricity when exposed to direct sunlight. This is used to charge a battery in the generator. The generator will have one or more power points where a hand held device can be plugged in and utilize the battery’s charge.

The plus point for the solar generator is that if the battery is ever low the generator will use sunlight to recharge it. As long as the sun is shining the battery will be topping up or be full. Thus any mobile or portable appliances that you have will have a power supply. You will never have that flat battery experience again.

If a portable solar generator sounds like something you need then here are a few pointers on selecting one. You should consider the efficiency of the solar cells in the generator. Larger panels will be able to charge a battery quicker. However you don’t want the generator to be cumbersome. You need your solar power generator to be similar with regards to size with the portable devices it will be charging. It should be easy to carry round on a belt or in a backpack.

A battery with a large capacity is a plus too. How long can you use an ipod with out needing to recharge for instance. You are looking for a battery that lasts a long time obviously but, again, you should consider the size if you want your generator to be portable.

Finally, you should check out what portable appliances can be plugged into the generator and how easy this is. At a base level, it should be compatible with your cell phone and any of personal digital appliances you may have (including a gps device if you do a lot of car traveling). You will probably use it most often with entertainment devices like PSP’s , portable dvd players and mp3 players so it should be compatible with these devices too.

In today’s world, most of our energy are derived from non-renewable resources like oil, natural gas and coal. Since these resources are non-renewable, we are at some point going to use up all of them. As these resources decrease, their prices will increase astronomically. There is also a risk that we would not have adequate resources to sustain our energy needs.

Here comes solar energy. The sun is a powerful and a perpetual source of energy. By transforming the sun’s energy into electrical power we can generate power that is free and would not be depleted. We get to delight in a lot of advantages by utilizing the energy of the sun to provide us with electricity. First and most importantly, because the sun’s energy is free, once you are able to pay for the devices necessary to convert the sun’s rays into electricity, you will never have to spend for electricity again.

Second, getting electricity from the sun implies that there is no drilling or mining which is hazardous to the environment. You also don’t need to utilize fossil fuels, which could harm the environment. This would mean that you and your family would be provided with a free and clean energy that you would surely enjoy for years.

You can make use of the sun’s energy in 2 ways. You could use it for your heating needs or convert it into electricity. The government, having recognized the necessity of ending our dependence on non-renewable resources, is highlighting the use of solar power by offering grants and rebates as incentives to those far seeing consumers, who are making the decision to let solar energy provide all or a portion of their electrical needs. While the price of solar power panels and their installation is rather high at present, these rebates and grants help to bring the cost of these panels down in order that the average property owner may be able to afford them.

You must view solar panels as a worthy long term investment, which could provide you with a free energy source in the future. The savings on your regular electric bill now will go towards offsetting the price of your solar panels. The moment you get to achieve your return of investment, or ROI, you would surely see considerable monetary savings. In addition, you will be helping in reducing land and air pollution caused by burning of fossil fuels to provide electricity to consumers.

You and the environment will surely profit from solar energy today and in the future. Utilizing solar power is not just a good choice but, the only choice for the generations to come.

It is best to look for a solar panel specialist if you want to learn more info on solar panels. They would be able to tell you about the price of the installation, and to evaluate if it would be practical for your residence. They can also respond to any questions you may have about how solar power works and what servicing it will need once it is up and running.

It seems almost magical that plants are able to absorb their energy from the sun and convert it into a usable resource that sustains them. Yet in this day and age humankind has developed its own system to utilize solar power, far beyond the ability to simply heat things. With solar energy, or photovoltaic systems, people can use solar power to generate electricity to run their home appliances with solar panels. This choice is not only great for individuals, but for our environment, due to solar energy being emission free. But how does this process work?

Breaking the word “photovoltaic” down, we have “photo” meaning light, and “voltaic” referencing volts, which are units of electrical force. When you look at the full meaning, then, you have light generated electricity. Solar panels use photovoltaic chips, which are what allow this process to take place. PV chips are commonly made of silicon, which is a semiconductor. This means silicon has a high capacity to release energy whenever sunlight hits its surface. Solar panels can then create energy to be used for a specific purpose within the scheme of a complete solar energy system.

The photovoltaic cells in a solar energy system use two layers of semiconductors in order to excite electrons. One layer of cells is positively charged and the other negatively, and so tension is created between them and volts are generated. This is all well and good, but the electricity made when the sun hits a solar panel is in the form of direct current, or DC energy. To change this into something that will be compatible with a normal 240V home appliance, it needs to be changed into alternating current (AC) energy using an inverter.

AC energy tends to be more effective than DC energy. Electrons only flow in one direction with DC energy. With AC energy, electrons continually switch directions in the electrical current, which allows it to be safer (since different amounts of power can be transmitted), and travel longer distances without losing any energy. As described, solar energy systems can generate electricity with an inverter, but they can be supplemented by a city’s electricity grid. If you are unable to meet your electrical requirements with solar energy alone, then the grid can provide you with additional electricity for you to seamlessly continue everyday living. Better yet, if you can provide all of your own electricity and still have some left over, it wll be fed into the grid and the city will compensate you with cash for the extra energy you’ve provided.

It’s clear to see that the benefits of a solar technology system are extensive, and the science behind them is simple and effective. In case you find the prospect of setting up a solar powered energy system by yourself to be intimidating, many professionals are available to assist in getting a solar energy system set up on your residence. In the coming years solar panel technologies will undoubtedly grow more sophisticated, and more ways will be discovered to improve the usage and amount of electricity people are able to generate. By committing to solar energy and figuring out how it can support you, you will be on your way to lowering energy bills and creating a healthier future.

AVISO Energy is a renewable energy company based in California, but the man whose innovations form the backbone of the company has yet to visit the US. That is slated to change at the end of this year, when Ismael Aviso makes his first visit to the US. His visit is to coincide with the first ever demonstrations of AVISO Energy’s new alternative energy technologies.

“Our new technologies are unlike anything the world has ever seen,” says company spokesman Alec Sherman,”and are so revolutionary that people who haven’t witnessed them in action find them hard to believe. That is why Ismael has decided to come here to show the technology himself.

The timing of Mr. Aviso’s visit has not been clearly set at this time, but AVISO Energy spokespeople say that it will be in early December. Lining up scientific audiences and travel visas are a few of the factors still not completely worked out. The company says that updates will be posted on their website, www.AVISOenergy.com.

“Our purpose is to introduce Ismael and our technologies to the world,” says Sherman. “That won’t be achieved with a secret meeting in a closed laboratory with a hand-picked audience.” The company plans to have the product demonstrations well attended by the scientific community and the public, and intends to stream video on its website, www.AVISOenergy.com.

Attracting investment is a stated goal of the visit. AVISO Energy has been privately funded up to this point, but has acknowledged the need for increased financing to take their products from prototype to distribution. Individual investors and firms are both likely to be in attendance

“This visit will be the beginning of an energy revolution for America and the world,” says Sherman. “We truly believe that when people see our technology at work, they will realize that they are witnessing a shift in our understanding of what is possible.”

Anyone interested in AVISO Energy technologies should keep a close eye on AVISOEnergy.com for info about his visit. AVISO Energy has attracted a lot of attention with his work, and his visit to the US will only heighten the excitement.

If you are interested in getting a hot water system for your home from renewable means then one of your options is go get ground source heating from a ground source heat pump. There are also air source heat pumps and solar thermal panels will do the same job with solar energy. We’ll be looking in to the financial benefits you can accrue in this way.

Heat Pumps: Efficiency?

When you are looking at how good a boiler is in terms of the amount of money that it is going to cost to run you’re going to have to look at the efficiency. With with heat pumps that make use of ground source heating though it is not efficiency that is the most useful thing to consider. That’s because the way that efficiency is calculated is by considering all energy inputs, and contrasting that with how much useful energy you actually get.

With a boiler, we have to provide all of the energy that is used to get useful energy so efficiency is the proper term to use. With a heat pump though, the point is that the heat energy comes from natural resources that we do not have to provide.

The more accurate term to use with heat pumps then is “coefficient of performance”. This describes how much energy we get out as opposed to the amount of energy that we had to supply to it. So that is the best way to measure the performance of a heat pump.

When you look at a ground source heat pump you are going to see that you get out 3-5 times more energy than you had to put in. This means that it is has a coefficient of performance of between 3 and 5. A boiler would have to be 300-500% efficient to match that.

It would, of course, be impossible for a boiler to be that efficient. It doesn’t matter how well it is designed, you can never get more energy out of a system that you put in to it. That is one of the basic laws of the universe. The consequence of this is that you’ll always need more energy to create heat with a boiler than you will with a heat pump.

Financial Considerations

So what does this mean about the financial benefits that you can accrue? Well, it means that for every unit of electrical energy that you have to pay for (in order to get the pumps working) you get 3 to 5 times more energy for free. So you are going to be making savings on your energy bills.

Of course it is not possible to say exactly what savings you can expect as this is going to depend on so many different factors. Factors such as how much energy you use now, how much you pay for it, and the sort of heating system you have.

What can be said though is that the financial incentive is soon going to be even higher. That’s because the government is soon going to introduce the renewable heat incentive, and when that comes in to effect you’ll be able to make even more money on every unit of energy that you produce.

If you want to get a better idea of how this works, just look at the feed in tariff, which is already in place for the solar energy you get from PV solar panels. In that case it is the electrical energy that you are paid for producing. Note that you still get to use it and save money on energy bills, but you get paid for the production as well.

That is how the renewable heat incentive is going to work for ground source heating and other forms of renewable heating systems. That’s going to make getting an installation in to a better investment.

To find out more about ground source heat pumps, Joseph Richardson has written a lot more on this issue at heat pumps. Learn more regarding the way the system works, such as how much money you’ll be able to make, also you can obtain a free quote for an installation.
